Kakamega Senator, Cleophas Malala, who recently joined Deputy President William Ruto’s hustler nation camp alongside his boss Musalia Mudavadi, is on the spot after he refused to pay a group of young men who emceed at his function.
Malala owes the young men Ksh 40,000.
They have been trying to beg for their dues from the vocal Senator but their efforts have not yielded fruits, prompting them to reach out to blogger Robert Alai for help.
One of the emcees shared a WhatsApp conversation with the Senator and in the chats, Malala put its clear that he will not pay the money and threatened to block him.
Reaching out to Robert Alai on Twitter, the disgruntled emcee wrote, “My name is Vincent Andati. We worked for Cleo Malala during Cleo Malala as MCs.
“He has not paid us the 40k despite several follow up. We have been begging for our money but the noisy senator has refused. what’s the meaning of bottom-up and Kazi ni Kazi?”
